Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Verity Labs ("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of PARALLAX — the educational AI platform available at px-4qj.pages.dev and via Android.

By creating an account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

PARALLAX is an AI-powered educational platform that answers questions in physics, chemistry, biology, computing, mathematics, medicine, and engineering. It is operated by Verity Labs, founded in Ghana.

PARALLAX uses large language models (AI) to generate answers. AI answers can contain errors. We take accuracy seriously — including an independent verification layer for harder questions — but we make no guarantee that every answer is free of mistakes. You are responsible for verifying answers before relying on them for exams, clinical decisions, or any consequential purpose.

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. If you are between 13 and 17, you confirm that a parent or guardian has consented to your use of the service.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must not share your account with others or use another person's account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where false information is provided.

PARALLAX offers two service tiers:

Question limits reset on a rolling 3-hour window. Limits are per account, not per device.

Pricing may change. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any price increase takes effect on your existing subscription.

PARALLAX Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. Payment is processed securely by Paystack. We accept Mobile Money (MoMo), debit/credit cards, and bank transfers via Paystack. We do not store your payment card details.

Your subscription renews automatically each month on your billing date. You authorise Paystack to charge your payment method on each renewal date.

Cancellation. You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time by contacting us at samnkrumah6@gmail.com. Upon cancellation, your Pro access continues until the end of your current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free tier. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.

Refunds. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us within 14 days of the charge at samnkrumah6@gmail.com and we will investigate. Refunds are issued at our discretion and in accordance with Paystack's refund capabilities. We do not issue refunds for unused questions within a billing period.

PARALLAX is for academic and educational use only. You agree not to use PARALLAX to:

Violate academic integrity. Submitting AI-generated answers as your own original work in assessments where this is prohibited by your institution is your responsibility, not ours. Check your institution's policies before using PARALLAX in assessed work.

Attempt to extract system internals. You may not attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or probe PARALLAX's system prompts, model identities, or infrastructure through any means, including repeated adversarial prompting.

Abuse the service. Automated querying, scraping, sharing accounts, circumventing rate limits, or any other attempt to exploit the service beyond its intended personal educational use is prohibited.

Cause harm. You may not use PARALLAX to generate content intended to harm, deceive, harass, or defraud any person.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

The PARALLAX name, logo, interface design, and system architecture are the intellectual property of Verity Labs. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any part of the PARALLAX interface or brand without written permission.

AI-generated answers produced by PARALLAX in response to your questions are provided for your personal educational use. You retain ownership of the questions you submit. We do not claim ownership of answers generated for you, but we do not guarantee they are free of third-party intellectual property.

PARALLAX is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that answers will always be accurate or complete.

AI language models can produce plausible-sounding but incorrect information. You are responsible for verifying any information obtained from PARALLAX before using it in any consequential context, including examinations, medical decisions, engineering applications, or legal matters.

We are not responsible for losses arising from your reliance on PARALLAX output.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Verity Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, PARALLAX.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim, or GHS 99 (whichever is greater).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be lawfully excluded under the laws of Ghana or any other applicable jurisdiction.

We aim to keep PARALLAX available at all times, but we do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance, upgrades, or experience outages that temporarily affect access. We will not be liable for any loss resulting from downtime.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. If we make a material change that negatively affects your subscription, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and offer a pro-rated refund if appropriate.

By you. You may stop using PARALLAX and request account deletion at any time by emailing samnkrumah6@gmail.com. Deleting your account ends your subscription at the close of the current billing period.

By us. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. Where practical, we will give you notice before termination and the opportunity to export your data.

Upon termination, your right to access PARALLAX ends immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including liability limitations, disclaimers, and governing law) will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of PARALLAX shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.

Before initiating any formal dispute, we encourage you to contact us at samnkrumah6@gmail.com so we can try to resolve the matter informally. Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of PARALLAX after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with a change, you may terminate your account before the change takes effect.
